I was surprised to find that one of our eggs in the incubator had already hatched this morning when I came to work. I'm thankful that Scott brought the warming cage and food and water for the hatched chicks this morning too. So far five eggs have hatched early as tomorrow is day 21 from the time that the children put them in the incubator. The children are so excited as they watch the hatching process with wonder. The children are good "mother hens" for the little chicks. Soon our classroom will be full of peeps and cheeps until the chicks go home on Thursday.

The Cornell University web site has some close up awesome photos of the fishing bird and the bird call. I
