Also available for purchase at the auction is a children's table. It has the alphabet and the fruits of the spirit; things that we have been learning this year. We hope that two families will enjoy these momentos of their children's kindergarten/prefirst year in school for a long time.

Saturday, Nov. 1 at 6:00 is our school auction. The children used their thumb and finger prints to paint a bench. Special thanks go to Teacher Jackie, Debi Olson and Mr Knapp for their expertice in creatiing such a lovely keepsake for some special family to take home. We had such a great day at the pumpkin patch. The weather was perfect. The children had a super attitude. A large group of them cooperated together to move a huge gourd. There is power in numbers of little people. Thanks to the parents who drive us to all of our field trips. You help us learn alot and make great memories. Today is the first time that we went to the Clackamas Community College Environmental Center for a nature study. Alison did a very age appropriate lesson on trees for us. The children got to explore the grounds and look for the parts of a tree. They also did a role play on the tree life cycle. They explored the grounds again looking for the life cycle of the trees there. The children particularly enjoyed exploring the decaying log and all of the little things living in the dying log. I was so pleased that even some of my most shy students felt comfortable enough to raise their hands and participate in Alison's class discussion. The children came back knowing more about trees and how they live. Thank you parents for driving us on field trips and for helping guide the small groups. You can go the photos albums and see pictures of our field trip. |
